Glossier store - new beauty store experience
After being into an embarrassing amount of sephora stores in New York, i was excited to go and visit, what i knew would be a totally unique beauty flagship store.
Glossier is a very hot beauty brand at the moment, but defiantly started off as a niche, and has managed to keep its unique style unsaturated with its growing popularity. Being and American based brand, with very few stores, and expensive shipping to the UK, i was very excited to get my hands on some of the products, and visit the flagship store.
Unlike the crowded shelves of sephora, overwhelming amount of products and individual branding instantly in your face, the glossier store had a very clean and crisp look. Almost surreal and spacey, the inside of the store was a curved piece of architecture, contrasting the buildings exterior. You really feel as through you are transported into a film set of some sort the moment you walk in. Bright and airy, with a white and pink theme, the store aesthetic complimented and hinted at the very natural, 'french girl' style of makeup and skincare that the brand provides.

The most unique part of the store experience for me, and what contributed to the pleasant and simple interior, was the way you purchase the products. The products out on display are simply for testing, once you have decided on a product a member of staff, substantially dressed, and easily recognized in the light pink boiler suits, will come and help you. The assistant uses an i pad to place your order and for you to pay, this gives a personal and VIP style treatment to the experience. You then go to the front desk, and out form some other magical place comes your beautifully packaged products from the wall, like a conveyor belt.

I love the way the store was layed out, the aesthetic, and the way products where purchased. The whole experience was unique, efficient and memorable, and i think that it will be another reason why the brand will continue to become more successful.
