Shell jewelry trend

The 5 Power Accessories That Were All Over Fashion Week's Streets 27 Shell Jewellery Pieces For Summer

I am a big lover and follower of jewlery, particularly more niche instagram brands.
I would say that my favorite style of jewelry has always been a more natural elements, slightly quirky and weathered look. I think that jewelry that is naturally beautiful and from nature are the most unique and eye catching.

So i was definitely on board when this very beachy and organic shell trend of jewellery began spreading through the niche brands and infiltrating high street stores.

Although this trend has been most prominent in the 'main stream' in the colder months, i definitely see it as a nod to summer, and am sure it will continue for at least summer 2019. The natural beauty and organic shapes of the shells with or without some luxe modifications (coated in gold), give a carefree beachy/ holiday vibe to any simple outfit, and contrast well with heavy winter clothes.

The jewelry although simple is still a statement, and has often been used with neutral stripped back outfits, making the trend even more obvious.

Shells at #Sunset, Marco Island #Beach, #Florida [Water's a wonder in itself yet what's in its wake can be truly wondrous. |_|)] time stands still when shell picking.

There is something very authentic about the trend, being that it is completely inspired by nature and in a way celebrates nature. Gen Z care a lot about both the environment, the natural world and authenticity. You can't get more authentic than a completely natural product such as a shell, and there is nothing offensive about celebrating natures natural beauty, which are perhaps some of the reasons the trend has done so well this season.

Also shells are just really pretty! i love this trend and hope it sticks around to spice up some of my boring white summer clothes.
