The making of classic pieces in fashion
As is common knowledge fashion trends always seem to come back around. We go through phases of distinctive styles, often more garish and OTT, and then purge to more simplistic styles. However through all the changes, and trend repeats there are some key 'classics' in fashion. Pieces of clothing that seem to be immune to the constantly changing styles and trends, that don't disappear and then re appear years later, but remain a staple in every generations wardrobe.
The classic fashion pieces usually tend to originate from utility, and mostly men's wear. These pieces where created for practical comfort, and served a clear purpose. The fact that these pieces where not made with any trend in mind, and are often practical and comfortable gives them their timeless and ever relevant quality.
Also the fact that woman can now wear clothes originally strictly for men still resonates with a kind of liberation and rebellion, even decades later i believe this connotation has filtered down.
